Communication is paramount in the legal industry, and video plays an important role in not only building your case, but effectively litigating it. We are a trusted resource for leading firms that value professionalism, experience and unsurpassed quality.
Our legal video services include, but are not limited to, the following:
Day-in-the-Life
This production shows how a party was injured and how that injury impacts their daily life. Intended as a piece of evidence, court decorum and prejudice issues require that Day-in-the-Life videos, sometimes called Activities of Daily Living videos, contain no prejudicial language, images or inserted narration or music. Only the facts are to be presented.
Settlement Video
Similar to Activities of Daily Living with one significant exception: this video is not intended to be presented in court as a piece of evidence. Therefore, we can take many more liberties with the presentation of the facts. While striving to remain truthful, we add music, narration, and more graphic images to elicit an emotional response from the viewer: the opposing party. Consider that a Video Settlement Documentary doesn’t necessarily add to the cost of litigation, but can in fact, save your client money by getting a higher settlement and by inducing a prompt settlement that saves months or even years of litigation time.
Wills
Will contests are common, and can often result in broken family relationships. Producing a video will can alleviate this problem, as it allows the testator to explain his or her decisions and to demonstrate mental competence at the time of signing. This evidence can deter possible will contests. While no video will can substitute for a written, signed and witnessed document, it is an excellent additional tool to protect a written will’s validity.
Depositions
One of the more common tasks that a legal videographer performs, this is the talking head shot with which most people are familiar. Federal Civil Rules of Procedure and individual states maintain strict guidelines as to how a video deposition is to be conducted. Our team is well educated in the task of producing unbiased video depositions, thereby eliminating the risk that the captured testimony can be deemed inadmissible.
